The Old Main Salt Lake City Library, an iconic mid-century modern structure, has served different functions since being decommissioned as the main library, most recently as the Leonardo Museum. The building is being renovated to serve the mixed use needs of the City, taking advantage of large open floor plates, existing assembly areas, and the amazing City Center location. Our team has programmed and designed spaces for the city to locate offices on the third floor, retain the existing theater space, locate Youth City Activity spaces and gallery on the big open second floor, retain a popular book seller, cafe space, and seasonal public market on he main floor. The site, at Library Square, will accommodate a myriad of Youth City activities.
