Located within Valley Regional Park, the Taylorsville Recreation Center Expansion significantly increases recreation offerings for West Valley residents. The 120,000 SF expansion doubles the size of the existing facility, addressing long-standing space limitations and unmet community needs.
The project adds new court space, expanded fitness and wellness areas, and a suite of flexible rooms to support programs for all ages. Dedicated spaces include strength and cardio zones, dance and aerobic studios, multi-activity rooms, and drop-in child care. The expansion also incorporates administrative offices and upgrades to outdoor batting cages.
A central feature of the expansion is a new indoor aquatic center, which includes both a competition lap pool and a leisure pool. Positioned alongside the existing outdoor pool, the indoor facility is designed with operable panels to create a seamless indoor/outdoor environment during warmer months. The aquatic spaces are designed with inclusivity in mind, supporting year-round use and adaptive recreation.
