Salt Lake County is planning an addition to the existing Taylorsville Recreation Center that was built in 2002 adjacent to the existing Olympic sized outdoor pool facility in Salt Lake County’s Valley Regional Park. The existing Recreation Center features a large double gymnasium, a multi-use center complete with a dasher-board system, a fitness center, and a dance room, all highlighting a large 50’ sculpted climbing wall at the building entry.
The growth of the region has shown a large demand for added court space and a movement studio. A feature that has been requested many times over the years has been the inclusion of an indoor track. The original center was designed to allow an addition to the building to occur between the existing court spaces and the outdoor pool facility. The new building integrates the two existing facilities, adding the desired amenities to create a unified recreation experience, with something for everyone.
