Achieving a Decarbonised and Climate-Resilient Built Environment

As a member of the AIA National Resilience and Adaptation Advisory Group, Megan collaborated with C40 Cities on a global strategy paper released in December 2023. The paper outlines an integrated approach to climate mitigation and adaptation in the built environment, with input from international working groups representing cities across the globe.

Purpose and Impact

• Advocates for addressing climate resilience and decarbonization together

• Provides a roadmap for integrating place-based, sustainable, and resilient solutions in urban environments

• Serves as a global reference for architects, planners, and policy makers

Megan’s Role

• Contributed expertise in resilient urban design and climate adaptation strategy

• Collaborated with an international team of experts to shape scalable, context-specific solutions for cities
